| MarkWest Energy Partners Closes Public Offering of $700 Million of 6.25% Senior Notes Due 2022 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
DENVER, Nov 03, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- MarkWest Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: MWE and the "Partnership") and its subsidiary MarkWest Energy Finance Corporation announced today the closing of a public offering of $700,000,000 of 6.25% senior unsecured notes due 2022 (the "Notes") priced at par. The Partnership intends to use the net proceeds from the Notes offering to purchase up to $334,362,000 in aggregate principal amount of its outstanding 8.75% senior notes due 2018 (CUSIP No. 570506AH8) that are tendered and accepted for purchase pursuant to a tender offer launched for any and all of such outstanding senior notes. All remaining net proceeds will be used to provide additional working capital for general partnership purposes. Barclays Capital, BNP Paribas, J.P. Morgan, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, and US Bancorp acted as joint book-running managers for the Notes offering.
